Oh the possibilities!

It was pretty cool doing this job. Here was a backyard that was not maintained, over grown and sprinkled with ancient concrete. The home owner wanted to be creative with his lawn but with greenery as unruly as it was he couldn't envision a backyard. I estimated 2 days for the customer for this job based on the pictures that he was sending me via phone. A few days later, I arrived to the property and demo'd the concrete, tilled the sod, tore out old fence footing, and hauled it all away including the random trash. And before I knew, the job was done in less than 1 day! The customer was so pleased now that he could create a new backyard from scratch. Not to mention, because i got the job done in a day I felt it was important to reduce the bid price which made his day even brighter!

It's an art removing man-made rock

This customer flips homes for a living. He called me up and asked me to bid tearing out this driveway. Little did I realize, he had 5 other bids and I was the most affordable one! Approved, I arrived to the property to find my work cut out for me. I examined the driveway to find a good sized stump growing up through the concrete potentially inhibiting my ability to tear it out. I decided to take a saws-all to the remaining part of the tree, cutting the main root and took a chain around the stump and pulled it out with the bobcat. All in 45 minutes! After I was able to get to it and tear out the distressed concrete. In total it took me 6 hours to get that job finished including the haul away of the excess material. Needless to say, the customer was pleased.

The grass isn't always greener

This customer had the goal of grapevines instead of a green, sloped field. This job required not only the removal of the grass but to create a more level pad for these plants. I had to dig into the hillside and used the remaining dirt for the fill area, watering and compacting the dirt as I went. At first it was challenging because of the rain but coming back to the field being dry allowed the job to move swiftly to a done despite the delay and the customer was very happy!

Haul it away, clay!

First of all, this is an incredible client of mine. What he does for a living is sell mobile homes which requires him to move them around and haul away the old and bring in the new. After hauling away this particular home, there was a lot of trash left over. My client wanted me to haul it away and bring in 20 yards of dirt, grade it, and top it with base rock. Needless to say, the picture speaks for itself.

There's beauty in father son team

This is my parents home. They live on 5 acres of lush green fields and trees in Loomis. The area around the home had a section of land that dipped off which needed to be leveled somehow. Here is where the idea of a rock wall came in and my dad was in need of some help. First order of business, dig up hundreds of granite boulders on this large chunk of property with my trusty bobcat - challenging to say the least. But with my dad and I working together we we're not only able to find all the material necessary on hand but placed the boulders decoratively! Like a puzzle, these rocks required expert skill in placement with larger boulders on the bottom as foundation for the smaller ones to stack on top. It came out nothing short of miraculous. To top it off, I was able to do this amazing work with the man who taught me what I know, my dad.
